This image conjures up the 19th century ideal of 'the beauty of holiness'. Here a private Catholic Chapel built in 1846 is very richly decorated and beyond the altar can be glimpsed the ancient family burial vault of the Stewarts of Grandtully. It is in stark contrast to the cold clear light of Presbyterian worship. The image celebrates the magnificently decorated building and ties the ancient family and their faith together.
